LORA GREEN McDONALD FIELDS

Mrs. Lora Katherine Fields, 65, a resident of Crawfordsville until a short time ago, died Saturday morning in a St. Louis, Mo., hospital while en route back here. Mrs. Fields was born April 21, 1897, in Guion. Her parents were Pleasant Green and Rosahanna Manley Clark. She was married to Onice Fields. She moved to Tombstone, Ariz., a few months ago but was returning to live in Crawfordsville. She was in the restaurant business in the city most of her life and was owner of the Home Lunch at home time. Survivors include five sons, Charley Leroy McDonald of Walton, Paul McDonald of Auburn, Wash., Darrell McDonald of Tombstone, Ariz., Harold Max of Lafayette and Franklin Ruffner; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Wharf and Mrs. Arnold Spore of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Nora Collins of Wallace; three half-brothers, Jesse Phipps of Terre Haute, Marion Courtney of Lafayette and Leo Courtney of Coatsville; a half-sister, Mrs. James Hamilton of Crawfordsville; a stepson, Clarence Fields of Monticello; a stepdaughter, Mrs. John Powell of Englewood, Calif., and 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bright Funeral Home, with Rev. L. R. Russell officiating and burial in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral home.
